Alberta is Canada’s “wild west”. It is home to a large population of farmers and ranchers, and each year it hosts the Calgary Stampede, the largest rodeo outside of the USA. It’s not uncommon to see an Albertan dressed in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.
The two largest urban centres are Calgary and Alberta, which provide access to two of the loveliest national parks in Canada: Banff and Jasper.
If you’re a cowboy at heart, Alberta may be the place for you!
