Okanagan Skaha School District is located in the sunny interior of British Columbia, in the Okanagan Valley. It is located between two lakes, surrounded by vineyards, splendid orchards and majestic mountains. The district includes the cities of Summerland, Naramata and Kaleden. It is known for its warm climate, its first-class sports facilities, its beaches and its modern and healthy lifestyle. The community is mainly English-speaking and offers a wide variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts.
All colleges and institutes offer high academic standards and electives, earning one of the highest ratios for graduation scores within British Columbia. The schools have modern classes and are equipped with the latest technologies, laboratories, libraries, art studios, kitchens, gyms ... International students are placed in host families where they can learn Canadian customs while improving their English. Throughout the stay they are supervised by a professional team from the school district.
The School District has a very low percentage of international students, which allows total immersion in the language.

Groups associated with the School District (students, teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, and the Board) identified these goals in September 2003 and refined them in 2008. Since then, the district has established task forces to provide leadership and support. , and schools are actively working with their staff and planning councils to achieve their goals.
