There’s no place in Canada quite like Newfoundland. Known as “the rock” for it’s rocky – but beautiful – landscapes, Newfoundland is sparsely populated. But what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality: Newfoundlanders have a reputation of being friendly, warm, generous and welcoming while always displaying a good sense of humour. These locals have developed a culture based around music, food and family gatherings, and they are always willing to share a bit of their heritage with curious visitors.
If you’d like to dance a jig to the tune of a fiddle, Newfoundland may be the place for you!
