Objective
The International Student Program allows students from all over the world to study and learn together with Canadian students of the same age. The program fosters cultural awareness and international understanding by bringing students together and allowing them to experience similar academic and social opportunities.
Our schools have the most up-to-date pedagogy, technology and facilities possible in our province. With well-regarded and award-winning teaching staff, the Sea to Sky School District offers students a protected environment where personal attention helps students with their academic goals.
The Sea to Sky School District has been accepting international students in our schools for twenty years. We were one of the first programs in Canada and have maintained the initial program so that international students continue to receive a truly Canadian experience alongside Canadian students. Our community is 97% English speaking and international students are fully immersed in the culture and, if motivated, learn the language quickly. We regularly interact with our agents to ensure student success. We personally know each and every student in our program.
International students are encouraged to participate and compete in our sports programs. Our Physical Education programs have a very solid foundation. We are famous for our community sports and activities and students can train with our Olympic level clubs in some domains as well as participate in community sports.
