Study in Medicine Hat Public School Division

Medicine Hat School District has a population of 65,000 and is three hours from Calgary by car. The closest city is Medicine Hat.

Medicine Hat has the most hours of sunlight of any city in Canada and its winters are not so cold thanks to the southwest winds, better known as Chinooks.

Within an hour's drive, you can enjoy ski resorts and Banff National Park is 4 hours away.

The recreational and sports facilities that make up the district include swimming pools, ice skating, ice hockey, YMCAs (gyms), indoor and outdoor soccer fields, and 80 miles of bike trails and other mountain sports.

Most of the students who come to the district are located at Medicine Hat High School which offers a wide variety of classes and programs to choose from, including an exceptional Fine Arts program. They have the ESL program (English as a second language for international students) and also a solid sports training. The students live with a Canadian family, who always tries to meet the needs and expectations of each international student.
