Overview
The Limestone School District is located in the town of Kingston, a city of 125,000 inhabitants located on the banks of "Lake Ontario", near the tourist area of "Thousand Islands", and is less than three hours from Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. It is a historic city, as it was the first capital of Canada before the Confederacy. It is the headquarters of “Queen’s University”, “St. Lawrence College ”, and the“ Royal Military College of Canada ”.
Kingston is the city of students and has been recognized, by the BBC and by the “Intelligent Community Forum”, as one of the most important student cities in the world and as one of the 21 most innovative “smart communities” in the world.
An important part of life in the School District are cubs and after-school activity groups. The district recommends that international students sign up to learn and improve in social interaction.
Limestone District School Board is a privileged gateway to live and learn, in this incredible environment.
