Study in Lambton Kent District School Board

The Lambton Kent School District is located in the city of Chatham, a two and a half hour drive from Toronto in the southwestern province of Ontario.

The district is made up of small towns and villages where students find a welcoming environment to live and learn. Chatham-Kent and Sarnia are the two main cities in the district. Both in high schools and in communities, English is spoken as a first language. 99% of the population are native English speakers. In addition, host families meet high quality standards and are assigned to students, to the extent possible, based on the needs and expectations of the students.

Students will be able to choose from a wide variety of academic subjects, in such a way that they will be able to better understand the Canadian educational system and feel integrated as one more in High School. They are also encouraged to participate in the social, cultural and recreational activities that are of interest to them and that are offered by their High School and district. A wide variety of after-school activities and sports are offered.

The program has the subject of ESL (English as a Second Language), offering extra support for international students, improving their level of English from their arrival.
