Overview

The Halton District School Board is made up of five municipalities: Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown and Acton. It is located midway between the city of Toronto and the beautiful Niagara Falls in the central province of Ontario.

Students in this school board can take advantage of the proximity of these cities to enjoy walks around Lake Ontario, visits to Burlington and Oakville and enjoy the proximity of Niagara Falls near Milton.

The Halton District School Board has a wide variety of specialised ESL (English as a Second Language), International Baccalaureate, business school, engineering, computer science, art, digital animation, web design and robotics programmes, as well as French immersion programmes.

Its students have consistently excelled in provincial-level school testing in Ontario. Most of the district's international students go on to top Canadian universities such as McMaster University, the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo.

The students and communities of the Halton District School Board offer the opportunity for a full immersion experience to international students who come here in search of a truly Canadian experience.
