Comox Valley School District
The Comox Valley School District receives 300 international students every year and offers them a unique combination of landscapes and recreational opportunities, such as: skiing and snowboarding in the "MT Washington", golf, water sports, mountain biking, hiking or sighting of whales. In addition, the School District presents academies of fine arts, performing arts, and cuisine.
The district is in a safe community with all modern requirements. Furthermore, its predominantly Anglophone population will make the experience even more immersive for the student.
Family and program coordinators strive to attend every day to the needs or problems that each of the students may have.
Comox Valley's vision is to create a learning community that embraces diversity, honors relationships, and prepares students for a world of constant change. Central to this vision is the inclusive and responsive union between the Board of Education and key public stakeholders within the Commox Valley.
Work with educational partners to help make students responsible, compassionate, and successful citizens.
Trust relationships that are based on respect, integrity and ethical behavior.
An environment that motivates and actively engages the student.
Innovation and creativity.
Strong collaborations, especially between the student's home and the school.
Shared obligations and responsibilities.
Individual and professional growth.
