Burnaby, winner of the 2016 ST Star High School Award, is located in the central area of beautiful Vancouver, offering the perfect combination of residential city and urban life.
International students have the opportunity to experience an English immersion alongside Canadian students in 8 high schools and 41 elementary schools.
Burnaby is focused on achieving academic excellence and this is reflected in the academic success of its students. All Burnaby schools are accredited by BC Ministry of Education, led by highly qualified teachers and administrators. Burnaby offers the most comprehensive and advanced AP Program (college credit for high school students), and prides itself on being one of the few schools in Canada to offer the prestigious AP Capstone diploma. It is also known for its dance, theater, music and art program. All schools offer an English for Foreigners (ESL Program).
International students from the age of 13 are accommodated in Canadian families close to the school. These families are carefully selected to offer a safe and suitable environment for students. Students under the age of 13 must be accompanied by parents or relatives.
