DESCRIPTION AND PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
This program is directed to junior high and high school students between 12
and 18 years of age.
It is an intensive experience for mature teens wishing to improve their English,
immerse themselves in a Canadian high school, and stay with a warm and welcoming
Canadian host family.
At the same time as their English improves, they will gain academic credits
in the subjects which they successfully complete.
The high school year is from late August to June; foreign students follow
the plan of studies established by the provincial Ministry of Education and
they integrate into their schools in the same way that Canadian teenagers do.
PROGRAM OPTIONS
• depending on the province, public schools may be non denominational or Catholic
• one semester or one year
• private religious schools (Christian or Catholic) one semester or one year
• private non-denominational schools.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Full year or first semester: May 31
Second semester: November 30
Red Leaf may charge a late registration penalty for registrations accepted after these dates.
PROGRAM INCLUDES
· Registration and classes at selected school
· Host family accommodation with 3 meals per day
· Convalidation of credits received
· RL guardianship and Local Coordinator support
· 3 reports per semester
